TARANTULA VS JUMPING SPIDER – 10 Major Care Differences You Should Know!
I’ve recently started to notice that my jumping spider won’t eat at all. I can hold a meal worm right up to his face for like 30min and he won’t do anything with it. I leave his mealworms in a small cup in is enclosure just so he can eat whenever he’s hungry but they’ve been in there for a long time and haven’t been touched. I’ve also started to notice that he’s falling off the side of his enclosure more often, which i’ve herd is a sign that he’s old. I’ve had him since June or July. When i got him he was already a full grown jumping spider so i can only guess that his time is sadly starting to come. I really hope he’s able to make it until Christmas.
I love jumping spiders, I’ve always thought of them as the curious puppies of the spider world. Found a lethargic one in my house a few days ago, it’s too cold to let it go outside and dry in the house, so gave it a little enclosure with some bugs and it’s happy and hydrated again. Would love to get a fancier one someday.
I caught a baby jumping spider in my kitchen! I was already orientating for one. So having a baby in my kitchen felt like a gift from the universe. I’m so in love with it. I hope it’ll survive. I named it Elodin. He/she is currently 4/5 ish mm large. I live in the Netherlands and they definitely are a bit smaller. They are so f cute though. I was able to make a video of its ini mini tiny face and white fluf. I instantly bought fruitflies. But I have to.. disable them a bit since Elodin in still so tiny and doesn’t catch them, yet. And I’m catching ini mini flies for it. It seemed a bit afraid of the small once I ordered. I hope it will grow nice and “big”.
